Dictionary.com defines “wellness” as “the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal.”
The last part is important: actively pursued goal. It is the opposite of complacency, passiveness and indifference. It is a state of mind and a conscious choice to take one’s health into one’s own hands.
What if people’s career and wellness goals worked hand-in-hand? Where someone’s chosen career path didn’t deter them from their path to wellness; rather, it supported it? Employers are in a unique position to create the kind of benefits package that inspires their employees to take an active role in their health so they can be superstars at their jobs. After all, healthy people are productive employees and happy people are long-term employees. Sounds like a win-win.
So where do ancillary benefits (dental, vision, life, etc.) fit into this wellness paradigm? Quite simply, they ensure employees lead fuller lives. And at CoPower, that matters. We take pride in providing affordable options for organizations of all sizes and budgets.
And that’s totally awesome.
