In comparison, offering free coffee costs $650 a year for each employee. Annual costs are based on a $60,000 annual salary. Not surprisingly, employees care a lot more about benefits than they do about free coffee. About 30% of employees would consider free coffee as a factor when choosing between a higher paying job and a lower-paying job with better benefits. Nearly 90% would consider better health, dental, and vision insurance as a factor.
