voluntary benefits income level

Higher-income workers are more likely to be offered voluntary benefits and more likely to enroll, according to a survey by the Employee Benefit Research Institute and Greenwald Research. The survey reveals that:

  • 50% to 60% of workers with household incomes of at least $75,000 were offered voluntary accident insurance, supplemental health insurance, critical illness insurance, or cancer insurance. Fifty-two percent to 58% of them enrolled
  • 25% to 29% of workers with household incomes of less than $35,000 were offered voluntary benefits. Only 27% to 40% of them enrolled
  • 53% to 61% of workers with a high concern about their financial well-being enrolled
  • 38% to 50% of workers with a low concern about their financial well-being enrolled

The experts at CoPower can help you communicate the value of voluntary benefits to employees in all income groups.
